Scorecard summary
India Women 150/6(20 overs)
Sri Lanka Women 109/10(18.2 overs)

That's day one wrapped up. Bangladesh and India have come out victorious.Malaysia will take on Pakistan tomorrow morning and Sri Lanka will face UAE, you can follow the games live here on ESPNcricinfo. For now, it's goodbye from Ekanth, Sudarshanan, Ranjith, and Vairavan.

Jemimah Rodrigues, POTM for her 76: I was eager to play, after not touching the bat for six weeks. But my parents, coaches and the staff helped me to recover, so thanks to them. I would like to thank Mumbai where it's hot, so I got acclimatised to it. I had plans and had prepared well to play on slow, turning tracks which helped to express myself today. We will take the win, the bowlers did well, this is the confidence we want to build on. The discussion coming in was that we've set the standard and want to get it higher now.

Harmanpreet Kaur, India Captain: We didn't start well with the ball but the run outs and good bowling got us through. Deepti was excellent. After losing two wickets when I went to bat, Jemi played well and we strung a good partnership. She worked well in the NCA and were happy to see her play well. I do feel we were short by 10-20 runs. If Jemi and I continued, we could have closed in on 200. But this is a learning process.

Chamari Athapaththu, Sri Lanka Captain: We lost wickets in crucial times, particularly the run outs which cost us. In the death overs, there was good bowling. Some were good but others were off. Jemimah batted well, we will have to stick to our plans in the future. Harshitha batted well, she's crucial for us. Hope she continues her form. The run outs are an issue, we need to concentrate on overcoming it.

4:40pm: The players shake hands after India complete a convincing win. The chase started well with Harshitha finding the fence. Athapaththu couldn't get going. But Harshitha was run out which cost them. Malsha Shehani was run out too. Perera tried to shepherd on but wickets at the other end meant Sri Lanka couldn't keep up with the asking rate or get close. For India, the slower bowlers were good as was expected on this pitch. Deepti and Hemalatha were among the wickets. Pooja Vastrakar is currently the only pacer in the tournament who's picked up wickets. It's been a hot, humid day which left some players and an umpire in discomfort but India held up well in the end.

Hemalatha to Kulasuriya, OUT

Down the track, misses the swipe, and Richa Ghosh takes off the bails. It was very slow and wide, just pushing the full length. Kulasuriya tried to slap it away but had to reach out and get to the pitch. She couldn't do either and Ghosh collected it well to give Hemalatha her third.
